Battle for the Diamond softball game !

The sixth annual Battle for the Diamond softball game is scheduled for Saturday, September 19. Pregame activities begin at 5 p.m., and the first pitch is at 6 p.m. The game between the Flower Mound Police and Fire Departments will take place at Gerault Park, 1200 Gerault Road. This fun, family event has grown in attendance and popularity every year. The game is sponsored by the Flower Mound Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (FMCPAAA) and area businesses. Proceeds from the game are split between the departments and are used for non-budgeted items. Some of the departmental personnel and equipment at the game for viewing could include:

K-9 Officer Adame and Bullitt
SWAT truck
Fire truck
Police car
McGruff
MICU ambulance
Sky Watch Tower
Citizens Patrol cars
Citizen's Emergency Response Team and equipment
This year’s game will also have a surprise celebrity host who will be available for pictures and autographs. Previous celebrity hosts have included John Wettleland, Tony Casillas, and Chad Hennings. The Fire Department reclaimed the trophy last year from the Police Department with a score of 13-9. Pick your favorite team and show your support by wearing a blue shirt for the Police Department or a red shirt for the Fire Department. Refreshments will be available for purchase at the park, and gate prizes will be awarded to attendees during drawings between innings.

The mission of the Flower Mound Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association (FMCPAAA) is to promote understanding between the community and the Flower Mound Police Department, and to aid and assist the police department, the Town and the citizens in promoting and supporting projects and programs for the betterment of the community and its citizens.
